Busch Domination Continues

It seems to be the season of Busch domination. That's fine with me.

Just 5 races into the season and the Busch brother's Kurt and Kyle have won 3. A great start for both. In case you missed today's race at Bristol here are the highlights.

Starting on the pole was Mark Martin for the second race in a row, something he had not done in 20 years.

The rest of the top 10 included:
Ryan Newman
Jimmie Johnson
Greg Biffle
Kasey Kahne
David Reutimann
Reed Sorensen
Dave Blaney
Jamie McMurray
Jeff Gordon*

Others of note include: Stewart (15), Kyle Busch (19), Harvick (30), Kurt Busch (32) *, Earnhardt Jr. (34th) **

*5 wins at Bristol
**went to back for transmission change

You can't race at Bristol without having a caution or 12 though today there were only 9. While Jimmie Johnson looked like the dominant car in the opening laps, Kyle Busch gave him a run for his money leading most of the race. When all was said and done (501 laps today) Kyle emerged the victor for the second time this season (last win at Vegas) marking the third race in a row either Kurt or Kyle went to victory lane.

Kyle also put an end to his streak of winning on different race tracks. Up until now each of his wins has come on a different track. Kyle's other Bristol win occurred in the 2007 spring race driving for Hendrick. Today's win brings Kyle to 4th in points.

Top 10 finishers were:
Kyle Busch
Denny Hamlin
Jimmie Johnson
Jeff Gordon
Kasey Kahne
Mark Martin
Jeff Burton
Juan Pablo Montoya
Marcos Ambrose

Biffle lost an engine and finished 39th.

Thanks to P337 from the Nascar View chat for today's invocation:
Thank You Biffle for this food. Pass it fast. Make it Good.
